Businesses expanding in Western PA

Western PA saw breakfast chain First Watch open its first area restaurant in the Streets of Cranberry back in April, but they may just be the beginning in a longer line of expansions in the region. According to the Tribune-Review, First Watch will likely open another 6-8 locations in Allegheny County.

Adding to the recently booming Mexican restaurant lineup in the area (Mad Mex, Moe's, Salsarita's and On The Border) could be the chain Tijuana Flats, which is targeting Butler County for a location.

Tijuana Flats Burrito Co. of Florida, which is new to the region, plans to have an August opening for its first restaurant, in Brentwood Town Center, Brentwood, by franchise operator Tom Flannigan. Tijuana expects to open 11 restaurants over the next 40 months in nine counties. Flannigan will open six in Allegheny and Butler counties while operator Tim Auvil will open five in seven counties including Armstrong, Indiana and Westmoreland.
