Identified a while back as some sort of mystery store in the Shoppes at Adams Ridge was something called Stone Peppers. The mystery has been solved. Stone Pepper's Grill is a new restaurant that will be opening Winter 2008, according to their new website. The site includes this description:
The concept will be based on quality food at affordable prices, utilizing distinct dining and bar areas as well as outdoor seating. StonePepper’s Grill’s primary food platform will be premium pizza and pasta, gourmet burgers, and unique high quality salads. We will incorporate a brick oven and exhibition steam kettles into our cooking style.
We look forward to providing more exciting information as we get closer to the anticipated opening dates in Winter of 2008.
Our two new locations are Rt 19 South, Upper St. Clair, PA and SR 228 & Adams Ridge, Adams Township, PA

2-5-09. Small portions. Mediocre service despite being almost empty. Burger served with a slice of tomato the diameter of a slice of lime. Not going back
We went the first week it opened & will never go back. It was horrible. Bad music playing, bad food. Too bad because we were really excited! Hopefully they will do something to improve & let everyone know.
Just went for the first time and will definitely never go back. Our waitress was unclean and unkempt. She didn't know anything about the menu. And the food wasn't prepared the way it was worded on the menu (the filet was supposed to be made in their "famous steak sauce" and it was dry AND they had no steak sauce for us to use). Asked for a steak knife to cut it and believe it or not we were told they don't have steak knives but the chef offered to cut up our food. No thank-you.
Went to the Stone Pepper's grill last week. The food was excellent, I had the 3 pepper burger. I will definitely go back.
Even though there were negative comments posted here we decided to give it a try. Well we should have heeded the advice here. We won't be going back. China King and Yama Sushi are both excellent however. Yama Sushi is a little pricey but good Japanese and has a nice atmosphere.
8-17-09 My family and I have gone there numerous times. Food is not bad - the salads are great. The waitresses have definitely improved. Busy on the weekend evenings than during the week. I suggest to give it a try.
