Bar Louie coming to Cranberry

According to the Cranberry Eagle, Chicago-based bar and restaurant Bar Louie will be coming to Cranberry. The future location is in the lower strip of the Cranberry Mall between Subway and the Szechwan Taste Chinese restaurant.

Bar Louie has more than 40 locations nationwide including two in the Pittsburgh area -- Station Square and the Waterfront. The restaurant describes itself as such:

This hip neighborhood restaurant and bar specializes in oversized sandwiches and artfully created jumbo martinis but also offers an extensive selection of appetizers, pastas and entrees; plus wide assortment of interesting beers, microbrews and wines by the glass or bottle. Warm surroundings with an urban feel include nightlife photography, signature hand-laid tile artwork, hardwood floors, and exposed brick walls. Service is speedy with a smile. Open for lunch, dinner, after-work or late night dining.

Finally, Cranberry is getting a real bar where my girlfriends and I can dance and drink martini's!

Bar louie is not that great. We went to the one at the waterfront . The food was forgetable. The waitress didnt know what a "half & half" was. They had a blazing neon sign in the window for it. Luckily the bartender knew it was Guinness and Harp. The waitress thought we wanted a glass of coffee creamer. Sigh...another pop trash restaurant for Cranberry Twp.

Finally some place else to actually go and drink.

Are you kidding me? This is fantastic. No more getting packed like sardines into Primantes or Quaker State and listening to the same crappy karaoke singers. We are finally getting a real bar here!!

They have one at Easton Mall in Columbus....a very happening place. A place to see & be seen for the younger more professional crowd. Very "urban" feel. However, the restaurant will only be as good as the folks it employees....

I heard that they are opening on October 1st. I'll be in line to claim my bar stool.

I'm excited that Cranberry is getting a bar/nightspot that is a little more hip, however I'm disappointed that it is Bar Louie. Their food is not particularly good and they offer a terrible wine selection. Wexford gets Walnut Grove, we get Bar Louie...I'll continue to drive a few miles south.

Walnut Grove is high priced and too yuppy. Bar Louie might fit the bill. I am sure Cranberry Twp Police will enjoy it between the calls and DUIs. Someone needs to build a nice sports bar/night club in the area and have police there to maintain order just like they do at the Pittsburgh clubs.

Finally, a place to hang out other than Pramantis! Bar Louie should be perfect for this location. This should bring in the "younger" (21-30) crowd which is great and what we need. Cranberry has needed a bar/dance atmosphere for quite some time as well. If people want to complain about the food, there are 50+ other places to eat in Cranberry.

Although Bar Louie will be a nice addition to the 2 other Bars in Cranberry, If ppl were smart they would drink as far away from cranberry as possible. DUI's are not fun.

It took 2 hours to have lunch due to horrible service and cold/uncooked bad food. Will not be returning.

We went last weekend for dinner on Saturday night & had a great experience! The sliders, calamari, & salads were great! We had excellent service at the bar & everyone was really friendly.

We've been there twice in the last couple of weeks. the first time, we sat at the bar and our bartender was friendly and efficient. The burgers were delicious. The second time we sat at a table (the bar was full) and the food was even better, barvarian pretzel sticks with honey mustard and cheese to dip, crispy calamari (perfect), Steak with mash pot, and buttery green beans. Our waiter was training another employee and was fantastic. Going again this weekend.

Hopefully you never have a problem at this pace because the General Manager ( Cranberry Twp.) is rude and uncaring. What happened to cutomer service?
I will never go there again as my husband and I were treated as a nuisance when he lost his watch and asked to have a reward announced if it was turned in. The watch was over 10 years old and not all that valuable to anyone other than him. A D.J. was already set up and it took all of 5 minutes of anyone's time. Obviously, it's not the store's fault an item was lost but a little concern would have gone a long way.
Rude, self-important people don't make me want to come back.
