More on Stone Pepper's Grill

Over in the Shoppes at Adams Ridge (across 228 from Giant Eagle), there is a restaurant being built called Stone Pepper's Grill that will be opening in the next few months. Stone Pepper's will be opened in two locations in the Pittsburgh area. Currently, their website doesn't have much information, but an architecture firm has a PDF with the proposed layout and design of the 3,500 square foot restaurant.

From the brochure (PDF):

StonePepper’s Grill is a new family restaurant/sports bar with a modern European atmosphere. The concept features a pasta bar, brick oven, bar and restaurant and offers patrons takeout services as well as an elegant dining experience.

The interior has been developed with a modern European atmosphere featuring stone walls and exposed structural elements.

StonePepper’s Grill also utilizes display cooking to entertain and entice guests with steam kettles in the pasta bar and the featured stone clad pizza oven.

The bar area is relaxed and refined with decorative concrete floors, a cherry wood and granite bar and flat screen monitors.

StonePeppers Sucks. The food is a joke. One step above McDonald's.

I have eaten at the Stone Peppers in Upper St Clair many times and the food is delicious. The pasta dishes are made in front of you and amazing. Also, their salads are fabulous, even a half portion is more than you can eat for lunch, my fave being the Buffalo Chicken salad. Great atmosphere, good food and prices for everyone.

Had dinner with a client at Stonepeppers in Seven Fields. The Shrimp Bisque was the best I have had in a long time. It is worth the trip just for the Bisque. My cobb salad was also worth the price. Looking forward to more dinners at Stonepeppers.

I just got take-out from Stone Pepper Grill - the mini burgers and the Shrimp Picatta. Very disappointing. The shrimp in the picatta had no flavor and there was barely any sauce on the noodles. Perhaps they are still working out the kinks?

Not worth it. decided to try the Seven Fields location since I pass it on my way home from work every day....

I come in - there's 2 employees that seem to be managers or something talking behind the bar counter - no acknowledgment of my entrance, even though the hostess wasn't back to her post yet.

my take-out order that was to be "ready in 10 minutes" took 40 minutes, with no explanation.

my bacon cheeseburger was somehow missing the bacon...

and my overcooked french fries were incredibly over salted

after arriving home (20 minutes away) and discovering the above problem, I called to inform them of their mistake (not complain, or rant, or whatnot - just let them know they screwed up because how do you fix a mistake if no one tells you you made it?)

my offered compensation? A drive back out there and $1 refund...wow. Definitely not worth my time or the gas. Way to go, Manager Derrick.

Might as well flush your money down the toilet...Service is terrible and food is fair at best. We came in with a table of 4 and they brought out 3 of the dinners and said they were still waiting on the 4th one but didn't want the rest to sit. By the time they brought the last dinner everyone was finishing up. The food was bland and chicken appeared undercooked and best part you get to pay and no one working there cares....

Terrible service. Employees don't care. Waiters too busy texting on phones. Poor service. Very sad.
